About Me

“As long as you are breathing, there is more right with you than there is wrong, no matter what is wrong.”

Jon Kabat-Zinn, creator of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

I’m Andrea — a yoga and meditation teacher passionate about helping others discover their strength, resilience, and inner calm. My teaching blends traditional practices with a modern, approachable style, creating a safe and supportive space for students of all levels to feel inspired, encouraged, and truly seen.

A smiling yoga and meditation teacher poses confidently in a white tank top and green pants, standing against a neutral background.

My path has been shaped by service, healing, creativity, and endurance. I am a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer who served in Paraguay, a Certified Pediatric Nurse at Seattle Children’s Hospital, a two-time breast cancer survivor, a writer, and a triathlete who competes in Ironman events as part of a team. These experiences have deepened my understanding that every breath holds the power to transform — both on and off the mat.

Yoga and meditation became my anchors during life’s greatest challenges. They grounded me through recovery, fueled my strength in endurance sports, inspired my writing, and now guide me as a new mother to a beautiful baby girl. Away from teaching, I’m an avid gardener and reader, living an alcohol-free, plant-based lifestyle that reflects my belief in holistic well-being.

I see yoga and meditation as more than physical practices — they are gateways to self-discovery, resilience, and joy. Whether you come to my classes seeking stress relief, flexibility, strength, or a deeper connection with yourself, my goal is to help you move mindfully, breathe deeply, and carry a sense of peace into every part of your life.

In both my teaching and my writing, I aim to inspire others to live with courage, presence, and an open heart — no matter what life brings.
